These organisations specifically focus on community development. All have conferences, resources, networks, training events, and mailing lists. There is a joining fee for some but most will have a student rate.

- International Association for Community Development - International, strong European influence
- Community Development Society - mainly Northern America
- Community Development Queensland - focussed on Queensland Australia, but starting to get some national attention
